Every clinician meets the same bar.

Every clinician is matched to your situation, not the other way around.

We don’t publish individual clinician profiles on this page. We match you with a psychologist whose experience is relevant to your needs, taking availability and your preferences into account. Our associate team also changes as people’s availability shifts around NHS and other commitments.

Referrers are given the treating clinician’s name, qualifications and HCPC registration number at the point we accept a referral.

What we can tell you, and what doesn’t change, is this: every clinician at Full Lives Psychology holds a doctorate in psychology and is registered with the HCPC, working in a maximum of two named specialisms from trauma, personal injury, long-term health conditions or persistent pain. You’ll be matched to a clinician whose specialisms fit your situation, and told exactly what those specialisms are before you start.

What "the same bar" means

Every clinician holds a doctorate in psychology and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Most are clinical psychologists. Where a clinician is registered under a different protected title — counselling psychologist, health psychologist — we tell you which, before you start. What the titles mean →

We verify that registration directly with the HCPC register before anyone sees a client, and again every year, so nobody can quietly lapse between renewals. Professional indemnity insurance in the clinician’s own name is confirmed at the same annual check, and enrolment in the DBS Update Service is a condition of working with us, which makes that check continuous rather than a certificate filed once at onboarding.

Clinical supervision

Every clinician maintains their own clinical supervision arrangements, alongside HCPC registration and professional indemnity, as a condition of working with us.

One psychologist throughout your care, wherever possible.

Our usual approach is for the same psychologist to assess you and provide your therapy. If your needs change, your clinician becomes unavailable, or the match does not feel right, we’ll discuss the options with you and help plan the next steps. Every clinician works within a maximum of two named specialisms, and we don’t take on work outside them.

When we are full, and when we are not the right fit.

We match against the capacity each clinician has actually declared, and when the team is full we say so. We explore whether our service is likely to be a good fit during your introductory conversation. Assessment helps us understand your needs in more depth. If another service would be more appropriate, we’ll explain why and discuss the next steps.
