If any of this sounds familiar
Perhaps something frightening happened. Perhaps an injury changed what you are able to do. Or perhaps you are living with a diagnosis or persistent pain, and tired of the suggestion that it might not be real. However it started, the cost tends to look the same: sleep, concentration, confidence, and patience with the people closest to you. Plans stop being made, and the things you once did purely because you enjoyed them are the first to go and the last to come back.
Therapy here is aimed at the life you want to be living, not only at the symptom that brought you here. Much of the work is moving towards what matters to you while the difficulty is still present, rather than once it has gone.
What we work with
We specialise in helping people with trauma, personal injury, and long-term health conditions, including persistent pain. Each clinician works within a maximum of two named specialisms, so we can explain how their experience relates to your needs. You do not need to know which of these fits before you get in touch.
The people behind Full Lives
Full Lives Psychology is led by Dr Bradley Platt, Clinical Director — a doctoral-level clinical psychologist registered with the HCPC, with a career spanning specialist NHS clinical practice and senior healthcare leadership. He works alongside a small number of associate psychologists, each holding a doctorate in psychology and registration with the HCPC.
We work online across the UK, which lets us match you with a psychologist whose experience is relevant to your needs, taking availability and your preferences into account. Therapy delivered by video is as effective as therapy in person for many people (Fernandez et al., 2021).

How it works
1
Get in touch
Send a few lines about what has brought you here. A doctoral psychologist reads it and replies personally, usually within two working days.
2
Have a free introductory conversation
Twenty minutes, at no cost and with no obligation. We talk through what you are looking for and whether our service is likely to be a good fit.
3
Arrange an assessment
The assessment builds a fuller understanding of your needs and informs what we propose next, usually within 2–4 weeks of your enquiry and depending on clinician availability.
Fees and insurance

The ranges reflect the grade of clinician you see.
Your clinician holds recognition with Bupa, AXA and WPA individually and can bill them directly. Most insurers ask for authorisation and a claim number before the first session, and a different insurer does not automatically rule us out — tell us who you are with when you get in touch.
Getting started
You do not need to know exactly what you are looking for, or to be sure that therapy is the answer. Send a few lines about what has brought you here, and we will take it from there. There is no cost and no obligation.
